Die Goldprägung etwas oxydiert, sonst tadellos. - Jean Cabassut aus Aix (1604-85) war probabilioristischer Moraltheologe, Kirchenhistoriker und Kirchenrechtler. Seine "Notitia Conciliorum" erschienen erstmals 1668 in Lyon; 1680 erweiterte er sie auf Anregung Kardinal Grimaldis zu den häufig aufgelegten und erweiterten "Notitia ecclesiastica". Als "Cabassutius" galt das Werk lange als Autorität für die Geschichte der Konzile.

His "Notitia conciliorum" were first published in Lyon in 1668 and in 1680 at the instigation of Cardinal Grimaldi augmented to the notitia Ecclesiastica, a work that went through many editions. As "Cabassutius" it was for a long time the authorative source for the history of the councils of the Roman Catholic Church. Some marginal waterstaining in last 10 leaves.
