Soft cover. Zustand: Bueno. 61 x 49 cm, 18 x 11 cm folded. Interesting plan of Vilnus published in 1921, few months after the so-call Zeligowski's Mutiny that led to the annexation of Vilnus by Poland. The plan is published in Polish, as the use of Lithuanian language was then forbidden in public spaces. The plan is folded in a booklet, a listing of the new names used under the Polish administration, and the old Russian names: also present is a listo of 133 points of interest and a table to locate them. Dozens of churches are listed, along with just a couple of synagogues (including the famed Choral Synagogue), when the so -called Jerusalem of the North had a that time some 100 Jewish temples and the Jewish community represented some 50% of the city. The title is illustrated by a representation of St Christopher, the saint patron of the city. Though little sophisticated, this plan was regulary updated until at least the 1940s. It was drawn by Stanislaw Januszewicz. POL. Good (bueno).
