The artists them- selves have been classified according to artistic school, place of residence or specific craft in chapters III-VII. In addition, several dozens of objects from other collections are illustrated. These photographs were necessary to offer a more representative overview of the history of lacquer art between 1860 and 1940 in chapter II, and also to show the characteristics of the period of Ferns, Feathers and Flowers in chapter VIII.
