The second edition reflects the author's ongoing efforts to design treatments that can significantly extend the therapeutic power of methods based on an Adaptive Information Processing model. It describes new discoveries that promote effective ways of structuring therapy sessions and refines original treatment procedures that can facilitate and safely accelerate therapeutic progress. The book provides an overview of the principal issues in treating these complex emotional problems and describes highly effective methodologies with a wide variety of clinical presentations that originate in or include disturbing traumatic memories. It also describes how to integrate specific EMDR-related interventions with other psychotherapeutic treatments. Each intervention is examined in detail with accompanying transcripts, client drawings, and case studies illustrating the nuances and variations in intervention application. Bolstered by supporting theory and current research, the book also discusses how the concepts and vocabulary of other models of dissociation translate directly into EMDR's Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) language.New to the Second Edition:Describes new strategies and refinements of standard methods for treatment of clients with complex emotional problemsIncludes two completely new chapters, 'Internal Healing Dialogue' and 'Case Example: treating the problem of 'attachment to the perpetrator''Provides new case examples on childhood sexual abuseOffers new sections on treating chronic defensive shame, the importance of 'fast' vs 'slow' thinking processes, and new applications of 'Loving Eyes' proceduresIncludes Elektronisches Buch with the purchase of print versionKey Features:Written by an EMDRIA-designated 'Master Clinician'Delivers successful treatments alternatives for difficult-to-treat clientsProvides a theoretical framework to guide assessment and treatment of clients with complex PTSDIncludes specific AIP tools, verbatim therapy scripts, client drawings, and case studiesDiscusses each intervention in detail, illustrating the nuances and variation in different applications.

In den WarenkorbA fine geological map of the country with bright original hand colouring illustrating the geological strata, an inset map of the Shetland Islands to the upper right of the north east sheet, geological cross sections from around the country underneath this also coloured, the map printed over four parts, each measuring c. 76 x 65 cm, i.e. 152 x 130 cm if joined, each part dissected into 24 sections and mounted on linen, marbled paper to each of the folded end sections with miniature outline maps to one side of each part, housed in publisher's green morocco slipcase with fold-in lid, gilt decorated and lettered spine with the gilt arms of Prince Albert (to whom the map is dedicated) to the upper board. Leather to the slipcase quite darkened, the lid to the case skilfully reattached, slight cracking to one joint thought he case remains sound, occasional browning to the map but a decent example of very attractive map overall. A revised version of the first edition of Knipe's magnificent geological map of the British Isles, first published in 1843. As with Knipe's previous notable geological map, that of England & Wales published from 1835 onwards, the map was reissued at intervals and updated with fresh data collected from fieldwork. This edition has a printed addenda of "authorities consulted", those whose contributions are recorded provide an illustrious roll call of Knipe's forerunners and contemporaries in the science: Smith, Greenough, Lyell, Mantell and Murchison to name but a few. Issues of the second edition appeared from 1851 onwards.
