Campbell's 1938 novella "Who Goes There?," which also served as the basis for John Carpenter's 198…2 masterpiece "The Thing." US Air Force crew and scientists at an arctic research station accidentally thaw out the still-living body of a humanoid alien, which promptly begins to attack them. Set in Anchorage, shot on location throughout Los Angeles and in Glacier National Park, Montana. 8 x 10 inches. Fine.
