Neuware - Abusaid Abuljair, místico sufí famoso por sus poemas, sus rubayat, y por haber sido el primero en difundir la ceremonia de danza llamada samá, dijo de sí mismo «soy nadie» porque incorporaba el «yo» en el «nosotros» y el «nosotros» en «Él». Este punto de partida hace explicable que no distinguiera entre poemas propios y ajenos, lo que ha dado pie tanto a que se le atribuyan versos de otros autores como a que se le niegue la autoria de los suyos. Ahora bien, su sensibilidad aglutinó los rubayat más notables de la literatura persa, comparables sólo a los de Omar Jayyam. Ese género literario hizo fortuna en su tierra. Se trata de un tipo de poema breve, el rubai, cuarteta formada no por cuatro versos, sino por cuatro hemistiquios donde se dan cita la fuerza expresiva de las imágenes y los juegos fónicos a los que predispone su estructura: riman el primer, segundo y cuarto hemistiquio quedando el tercero libre. En el caso de Abusaíd, tanto el aspecto formal del poema como su contenido alcanzan una fuerza e intensidad que justifican que su fama como poeta vaya a la par a la que le otorgó su santidad. En el siglo XII, uno de sus descendientes, Mohammad ibn Monawar, escribió su biografía con el nombre de «El misterio de la unidad divina». Del mismo modo, el gran poeta y místico Farid ud-din Attar incluyó su semblanza en el «Memorial de santos», que publicamos como excelente complemento a la selección de sus versos.
