Cover also serves as title-page and includes engraving of a star, which Mackley sent as a proof to Deborah ( the child of the title) with one of his letters. A printed folded insert indicates that this copy was used as a Christmas and New Year card by Leonard and Gladys Gray in 1989, also recording the fact of their 50th wedding anniversary. Stapled sheets, originally held - and just holding - by three very light glue points to a dark grey folded card cover / jacket with the printing on the cover in dark gray. An 'as new' copy. Uncommon.
