Der Sohn des Klinikers Heinrich Jacobson, Luois Jacobson, geb. 1852, promov. 1875, machte 1876 in Wien bei Politzer Spezialstudien, war 1877 Volontärarzt bei Lucae und von 1878-1892 erster Assistent der Ohrenklinik. 1888 habilitierte er sich und erhielt 1897 den Professorentitel. Er starb bereits 1905. Seine Arbeiten lagen hauptsächlich auf dem Gebiet der physikalischen, resp. physiologisch-akustischen Seite der Otiatrie. Sein geschätztes, zuletzt 1902 im Verein mit Louis Blau bearbeitetes Lehrbuch, besonders wertvoll als Literaturquelllenwerk, ist in mehreren Auflagen erschienen. -cf.
