A detailed description and explanation of the mythologies across Asia, with chapters on Persia, the Kafirs, Buddhism in India, Brahmanic mythology, Lamaism, Indo-China and Java, central Asia, modern China, and Japan. Written by J. Hackin, Celement Huart, Raymonde Linossier, H. De William-Grabowska, Charles-Henri Marchal, Henri Maspero, and Segre Eliseev. With an introduction from Paul-Louis Couchoud, a French philosopher, physician, man of letters, and poet who became well known as an adapter of Japanese haiku. In the original brown cloth binding. Externally, very smart with minor fading to the extremities. Original unclipped dust wrapper is also smart with light wear and the odd small mark to the rear panel.
