Small quarto, 102 pp, 4 pages of adverts, black and white frontispiece and 24 other black and white photographs, three tipped in pages being typed additions by the author, one signed with his pseudonym 'Lab's Pal'and dated 1943 three manuscript notes in margins presumably by the author one which refers to a photograph in the book that he waited nearly six weeks to get the perfect pose of his dogs for the photograph. Original cloth with very light wear to edges but an excellent copy . A very scarce and delightful book on the author's five Labrador's raised from puppies to maturity and the joy they gave him . The Foreword is by The Countess of Tankerville of whom there is a portrait and an initialled manuscript note by the author regarding the Countess giving an affectionate appreciation of her.
