Even during the trial, the queen remained immensely popular, as witnessed by over 800 petitions and nearly a million signatures that favoured her cause.Collated, lacking all seven engraved plates. With two plates not called for bound to the start of the work: 'Bartolomo Bergami' and 'The Queen's Entrance into Jerusalem'.Rebacked, with endpapers renewed. This fascinating work, published the year of the trial, offers a detailed account of the arguments of the prosecution and defence.
