The objective of the study was to determine the treatment outcomes of patients co-infected with PTB/HIV compared to patients with PTB only; to determine the prevalence of PTB in HIV positive patients at point of diagnosis; and to establish the risk factors associated with poor treatment outcomes in both PTB/HIV negative and PTB/HIV positive patients.The results showed that the odds of having poor treatment outcomes among cases was 1.8 times higher than among controls (p= 0.0272).
