Horowitz's son Shabtai published the first edition in 1648. Jehiel Michal ben Abraham Epstein, ha-Levi edited and abridged the work for publication first in 1693. It became a very popular work in the teens and twenties of the eighteenth century. This one of many editions published in that period.
