The exterior shows toning some smudge marks and spots. There is a small tear with some creases on the front cover, right side edge. Internal binding is good and text pages are still attached. The interior is toned with some light spotting. No handwriting found on the approximately 12 (unpaginated) pages. This is the earlier printing that lacks any copyright or publication date (ca. 1916).

Lovely colour and b/w illustrations. SPine and corners bumped and worn. Covers grubby and lightly foxed, small patch of surface paper damage to centre of rear cover. Staples rusty. Some light foxing and fingering, one illustration has a few tiny red paint spots and a light grey paint streak (not too obvious), contents otherwise clean. Packaged with care and promptly dispatched!

All 5 are part of a larger series issued by Stecher Lithography Co. of Rochester, NY and all showcase the company's vivid color lithography very powerfully. All 5 are also beautifully illustrated by in-house artist Margaret Evans Price. The 5 titles are "Mother Goose Book of Rhymes", "The Manger Babe" (by Isabel C. Byrum), "Baby, Animals and Birds" (by Anna Lauer), "The Angora Twinnies: A Child's Story" and "The Land of Nod" (by Margaret Evans Price). All 5 titles are solid and VG (or better) in their stapled, thick-card wrappers, with light, forgivable wear along the spines. A bit of chipping at the rear panel's top-edge of "Mother Goose Book of Rhymes" and very light soiling to several of the panels. No writing or markings of any kind internally though; all the plates are in lovely condition. Uniform folios, all 5 books were published between 1917 and 1919. An array of color on full display.
