Final Script for the short from the 1954 film "Light's Diamond Jubilee." "Light's Diamond Jubilee" was a David O. Selznick television production aired simultaneously on all three of the major networks. The special was mounted to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Thomas Edison's invention of the light bulb that featured original stories and adaptations of stories by famous American writers. Plain salmon colored wrappers. Title page is integral with the first page of text. 12 leaves, mimeograph on green stock. Pages Very Good plus, wrapper Very Good plus bound internally with two silver brads.

Final script for the 1954 television special, an anthology of stories commemorating the 75th anniversary of the invention of the light bulb by Thomas Edison. An ambitious undertaking, with adaptations and original stories by G.K. Chesterton, Arthur Gordon, Irwin Shaw, Max Shulman, John Steinbeck and Mark Twain. Much of the script doctoring and story continuity was handled by Ben Hecht. Blue titled wrappers, noted as Final on the front wrapper, copy No. 64, dated October 24, 1954, with credit for screenwriter Selznick. 110 leaves, mimeograph duplication, with white, green, yellow, and pink revision pages throughout, dated between 10-15-54 and 10-22-54. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Good to Very Good with offsetting and some closed tears at the extremities, bound with three gold brads.

From the archive of noted Hollywood still photographer Ray Jones. Born in Wisconsin on January 1, 1901, Jones worked for Paramount Pictures in the early 1930s, and went on to be the head of the still photography department at Universal Pictures in 1935, where he worked well into the 1950s. 10 x 8 inches. With a Photoplay Library stamp on the verso, along with the stamp of photographer Bill Avery and manuscript pencil annotations regarding layout. Based on Eugene O'Neill's 1924 play. A greedy New England farmer marries for a third time after working his first two wives to death. Trouble ensues when his new wife, a headstrong Italian woman, begins an affair with his youngest son. Bill Avery worked as a photographer at Columbia Pictures in the early 20th century, with a brief interlude working as a combat cameraman during World War II. He also worked at MGM under noted photographer C.S. Bill, and occasionally worked as a freelance publicity photographer, shooting iconic images of Elvis Presley, Jack Lemmon, Katharine and Audrey Hepburn, and Shirley MacLaine, among many others. 9.5 x 7.5 inches.
