Publisher's green cloth with gilt titles to spine. With the illustrated dust-jacket. Black ink gift inscription to fly-leaf, dated 1962. Spotting and toning to edges and endpapers, otherwise internally clean. Price-clipped jacket shows heavy spotting and a few marks. Very good. The dramatic fictional re-telling of the life of a wild otter, first published in 1927.

The boards and contents are in excellent condition, with a little foxing to the page edges and a small brown mark to the front board. The dustwrapper is also in excellent condition with a touch of foxing. Winged Victory is a 1934 novel by English World War I fighter pilot Victor Maslin Yeates that is widely regarded as a classic account of aerial combat and the futility of war.
