Hardcover. Zustand: Good+. See photos for condition details. Hardcovers, three volume matched set: two volumes being the actual title itself in the third book being the matching salesman sample. These books have been together since they were new. All three volumes are the same design of three-quarter bound leather with gilt designs and text. All books are in their original state and leather is wearing and peeling to the finish. The two volume actual book set has marbled end pages and front and rear, both books are basically in the same condition with exterior edge and corner wear to the boards, binding being good with no cracks, no handwriting or bookplates, no library markings. Two-volume set grades at G++ to VG-. The salesman sample exterior is in slightly better shape but the front marbled end page is detached and torn/frayed. Interior pages of all three books along the edges. Page condition of all three books are also similar with pages being toned and foxing being present. The lithographic plate portraying the Massacre at Fort Mimms found in the salesman sample has a large tear at the top edge measuring about 3.5 inches. The salesman sample also contains one page of orders along with names written in pencil on the opposite page. Because of the detached front end page the salesman sample copy grades at good minus, otherwise book as VG-. This sale is for the complete set of three books: two being the title listed in the third being the matching salesman sample copy. Please note: because this is a three volume set weighing roughly 15 pounds there will be additional shipping required for addresses outside of the US or if buyer chooses priority mail option instead of media mail.
