Dopo poco entra a far parte del New York photo league, associazione che si dedicava alla fotografia di documentazione sociale. In seguito si concentro' a fotografare dettagli offerti dalla natura, dall'architettura ecc. finendo per legarsi con il mondo artistico dell'espressionismo astratto e privilegiando un approccio creativo e spontaneo a scapito dell'intento narrativo ITA.
