Some rubbing and light wear with what appear to be (strangely enough) scattered spots of silver polish to covers. Pub-date from a silverware pattern copyright date that is printed within text. A small salesman's brochure, published to help the ladies of the day in making their silverware decisions, right from bachelorhood to impressing the husband's boss and ultimately, keeping the family together with their fine selections.

Published in 1929 this is the stated Deluxe edition of their catalogue containing a comprehensive representation of the company's sterling silver hollow ware, flatware, and novelties from the Fine Arts Division of the International Silver Company. It includes illustrations, some in colour, across hundreds of pages, the catalogue is divided into several paginated sections with their own title pages. A large format catalogue measuring over 12 inches tall, with a geometric Art Deco design to both covers, the catalogue represents products from several companies that had merged into International Silver Co., including Wilcox & Evertsen, Simpson, Hall, Miller & Co., and the Watrous Mfg. Co. divisions. The International Silver Company was founded in Meriden, Connecticut, in 1898 through the merger of numerous existing silver manufacturers in the region, earning Meriden the nickname "The Silver City". By the 1920s, the company was the world's leading manufacturer of silver products and prided itself on producing quality sterling and plated ware. The company's production of sterling hollow ware continued until 1976, and its legacy remains a significant part of American silver history. CONDITION The covers have noticeable edge wear rubbing, a small area of surface wear to top of front cover, , short splits to the cloth at base of spine. Internally some occasional light handling marks, there are several pencilled crosses to several pages. Two pages have surface wear (pictured) where the gummed part of a torn envelope which was used as a page marker has become stuck to the paper, a noticeable crease to rear endpaper, else in good general condition.
