Softbound. Zustand: Good +. A catalogue of Mongolian antiquities ranging in date from the Neolithic to the Yuan Dynasty, with a few additional exhibits portraying modern Mongolian life and fashion. Many of the objects illustrated and described reflect the traditional nomadic, horse-riding culture of Mongolia and its relationship with similar tribal groups of the Eurasian steppes. This volume was originally published in Tokyo, 1983; a catalogue for a Chinese loan exhibition of Mongolian artefacts that toured Japan, in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the Inner Mongolia Museum. The present second edition features text in Chinese and Mongolian, with English preface. Cover creased and significantly curled but fully intact.
