A clean, near fine copy, with some gentle bowing to the vellum as often found, neat gift inscription dated 1909. A particularly bright copy. A classic collection of poetry, ghost stories and legends that are mostly parodies or deliberately humorous. First printed in the Bentley's Miscellany and New Monthly magazines, and first published in book-form between 1840 and 1847. Signed.
