C. Inchbold, was more frequently a novelist than travelogue writer, publishing eight novels between 1899 and 1920. Here, she applies her elegant prose to a descriptive, and at times poetic, first person account of his travels in Syria and nearby regions.With a publisher's advertisement to the rear of volume I.To rear pastedown of both volumes is the label for 'The Times Bookclub'. Pages are bright, with scattered spotting of varying degrees throughout. Offsetting to the front free endpapers due to bookplates. Very Good. book.
