Back to the books of the Heritage Press in near fine condition with slipcase and Sandglass, here s another. Please find: Green Mansions- A Romance of the Tropical Forest by W.H. Hudson. This medium-sized hard cover book in its slipcase (6 ½ x 9 ¾ inches, 346 pages) was published by the Heritage Press dated 1972. The book was illustrated by Miquel Covarrubias; there are 8 colored plates by the Artist. The Heritage Club Newsletter Sandglass (Number I-R: 41) is laid-in. Condition: As advertised and like most of my current Heritage Press books recently listed, this book is in near fine condition. The slipcase is almost perfect with some very minor darkening around the opening where usually handled. The hard covers are clean and very handsome with some faint fading at the top of the spine (probably won t show in the photos). There is a tiny brown blemish on the lower end of the leading edges of the pages. Inside the book is unmarked, even the former owner s bookplate is missing. The interior pages and color plates are clean and bright throughout. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
