"From England to Cairo with one excursion into Victorian England, [the author] ranges in these ten little cosmopolitan novels." One story deals with a "restless post-war Englishwoman who attempted a trans-Atlantic flight." The author, who eventually became Sir Philip Gibbs, distinguished himself as a war correspondent during World War I and went on to a long career in journalism. NOISBN.
