Rudi panzel graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana. He is one of the few contemporary painters who create on the principle of Renaissance artists, who have insisted on realism and deep symbolism. He has received many domestic and foreign awards for achievements, among them the Pre?eren Fund Award in 1985. He painted portraits on Slovenian tolar banknotes, in circulation from October 1991 until the introduction of euro in January 2007 0 g.

Im Jahr 1974 schloss er sein Studium an der Akademie der bildenden Künste mit prof. Janez Bernik. Im Jahr 1976 beendete er die Malerei mit prof. Andrej Jemec und dann im Jahr 1978 in der Grafik mit prof. Marjan Pogacnik. Als Stipendiat der Französisch Regierung, im Jahr 1977, in dem Grafik-Studio von Johnny Friedlaender in Paris in den Jahren 1977/1978 als Wissenschaftler Gottfried von Herder-Preis an einer Meisterschule prof perfektioniert. M. Melcherja an der Akademie der bildenden Künste in Wien. An der Akademie der bildenden Kunst und Design der Universität von Ljubljana lehrte er seit 1979. Seit 1994 als Professor für Grafik. Seit 1988 hat der Präsident der Biennale der slowenischen Grafiken Otocec Novo mesto. Er hat mehrere Einzelausstellungen im In- und Ausland, die letzte im Jahr 2011, das Nationalmuseum von Slowenien in Ljubljana. Er ist Autor oder mehrere Monographien und Kataloge als Co-Autor.
