Covers are moderately worn, toned along spine and top edges; cloth partially frayed around crown and foot of spine. Binding is loose with cracks along front and rear endpapers and between various pages. Pages are lightly toned, otherwise clean with light wear. Printed in B&W with plates throughout. 302 pages. Title page dated 1902. Copyright page dated 1902. This volume came from the Lincoln Brower collection, though it does not have his name in it. Linda S. Fink's name is written on front free endpaper, dated 1989. Fink was Brower's wife, a professor of ecology at Sweet Briar College. We ve got a wonderful bookcase or two of books from Lincoln Brower s collection listed here. Everything you know about Monarch Butterflies, you know because of Brower s work, both scientific and outreach. He was a great teacher, an important researcher, a torch-bearing conservationist, and a leading light in lepidoptery. We are extremely excited to offer his books.
