A very impressive design book with lovely woodblock printed patterns for high-quality kimonos, including not only front panels but also backs, sleeves and other sections. It makes it an unusual kimono trade catalogue of this period. The attractive patterns rendered in lovely colour combinations, consist of a wide variety of motifs, all clearly influenced by the natural world, several highlighted by metallic inks. Each illustration has a brief description in Japanese. This album used to belong to a shop "Fujiya Shoten" in Kiryû in Gunma Prefecture. With its name and address in manuscript on rear cover. A scarce, well-preserved zuan-chû manual.
