A eulogy to the city of Venice, this volume explores its history up to the nineteenth century. Illustrated with a coloured frontispiece and nineteen stunning pictures and drawings by Frank Brangwyn. A charming study of decorative art in relation to the work of Frank Brangwyn, adorned with many illustrations in text and thirty-two full page coloured plates, some large over two leaves. Externally excellent with only minor shelf wear and some minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Vintage photograph of the marquee of the Plaza Theatre in London, advertising Paramount Pictures' 1952 release "The Greatest Show on Earth." The Plaza was built and operated by Paramount, and was designed by Frank T. Verity.
