Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. No Jacket. NAPLES AND SOUTHERN ITALY BY EDWARD HUTTON 1924 12 COLOR PLATES BY FRANK CRISP. I will be adding a few more books about Italy to those I have already listed. This small hard cover book (5 \u00BC x 7 \u00BE inches, 312 pages) was published by The Macmillan Company of New York, dated 1924. This book is quite scarce in the booktrade and I only found one copy listed, and that a rather battered copy with splitting along the front gutter. This book is bound in light green boards with gilt titles on the spine. It has been illustrated with 12 plates in color (full-page, blank on the reverse) by Frank Crisp and 16 other b&w photo plates (also full-page & blank on the reverse). There is a nice map of the area decorating the front endpaper. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The hard covers are generally clean and bright with some light splash marks affecting the finish of the rear board. There are two small bumps to the rear board as well. Inside, the corners of the map seem to have stuck together a bit, now separated. The book is unmarked. The pages, however, have a fair amount of random foxing and some light soiling too, nothing extreme. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight, sound and square. This book is not ex-library or a remainder. Language: ENG.
