"Early in the eighteenth century, Thomas Hurry, with some members of his family, established themselves at Great Yarmouth, as Hemp and Iron Merchants, and obtained extensive warehouses at the South-West corner of Queens Street, fronting West in the Quay.They were also ship agents, agents for Lloyd's, and Vice-Consuls for Prussia and other foreign powers.
