In den WarenkorbHumphry, John A. / McNiff, Philip J. A Study of the Newton Free Library. no place or publisher listed, 1964, 18, 55, 11, [19], typed or duplicated text bound in black plastic spiral binding with brown stiff paper covers, ex-library with call number on front cover, rear pocket, deaccession stamps, otherwise in very good condition…, light wear. Director of the City Library, Springfield, Massachusetts / McNiff: Associate Librarian, Harvard College Library. - At the time the main library in Newton Corner was already obsolete and inadequate in size, arrangement, and geographical location (it did not take until the 1980s, as suggested on Wikipedia May 2012, to realize this). The proposed new site was at the Mason-Rice school in Newton Centre. Unfortunately, the convenience of public transportation at this site was not achieved at the excellent new site of the library, opened in 1991, near the Newton City Hall, 27 years after this report.
