Wonderful collection of paintings from Tibet, which sadly has been dispersed again in 2006 by auction (together with the Nepalese part of the collection), for more than 9 million Dollars. The photographs were taken by the collector Mischa Jucker. Early Thangkas from Tibet, which are strongly represented in this collection. Heavy volume, additional shipping is likely. Catalogue of an exhibition at the Museum voor Volkenkunde Rotterdam, 17 June - 26 November 1989 with art from Tibet from Dutch private collections. The author made a career as auctioneer and later described i.a. the Thangka collection of Mischa Jucker. Some truly fine pieces in this catalogue. At the end advertisments by art galleries dealing in Tibetan art at the time, mostly from the Netherlands, but some also from London - giving a rare overview of the market at that time.
