Okay, here s another one of my current thematic group about railroads, this one special and scarce, titled: Uncle Sam s Locomotives The USRA and the Nation s Railroads, by Eugene L. Huddleston. This large hard cover book (8 ¾ x 11 ¼ inches, 217 pages) was published by the Indiana University Press, of Bloomington and Indianapolis, dated 2002 and apparently, according to my reading of the coding on the copyright page, the First Edition/First Printing. The book is bound in dark blue cloth with bold gilt titles on the spine and is protected by a lovely pictorial dust jacket. The book is very well illustrated with lots of b&w photo of railroad related scenes, especially locomotives almost every one of the latter pages. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The dust jacket is pristine, without even any edge wear and clean and bright. The hard covers are also clean and bright and unbumped. A former owner has left his inked name on the first blank page but that is the only mark in the book. The interior pages are bright white and unblemished in any way. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
