. (illustrator). Condition- used. Solid, but there is a five-inch vertical slit on the rear cover, also on the last page but shorter; I put a line of archival mending tape (non-yellowing and removable) on the inside of the rear cover to keep the slit from catching on anything. We ship all our books in cardboard protection. Paperback, Cloth tape. A unique copy of the 1935 book about the work of the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) were printed. Many copies were printed; why is this one special? On the 10 "blank" pages at the rear are signed the names, with addresses, of 47 men, all in ink, by different hands. All the addresses are from Pennsylvania (those from small towns have only name and town, but that was often the entire mailing address in small towns in the 30's- and for myself twice in my life.) The first of the ten "blank" pages begins with the old drinking song beginning "Cheer, Cheer! for old ninety-five! / You bring the whiskey and I'll bring the rye" and continuing through 8 lines. CCC camp 95 was at LaPorte Pennsylvania. 47 Signatures and a drawing. .
