Theseincluded Ettiquette: What to Do and How to Do it, published in 1885.Howard's literary career came to an end in 1893, with a dramatic scandal surrounding her husband and his mistress's sudden death.This copy with the illustrated advertisement end papers retained. Rebound in an attractive quarter cloth binding with marbled, paper covered boards.Externally, excellent. Original illustrated end papers retained and reinfornced with archival tape. Tear to front paste down repaired in rebind. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Mild age toning and the odd spot to pages and fore edge. Ink ownership inscription to title page. All other volumes are firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with offsetting to most endpapers. Ownership bookplate of ones Martin and Pamela Finch to the front free endpapers of 'Uncommon', 'Every Cook', and 'Chinese Cookery'. Age toning to 'Sweetmeat' and scattered spotting to the first and last few leaves of 'Round the World'. Good. book.
