The ending of the letter is interesting, as he speaks with confidence about his imminent return home, which he believes will put an end to all the discord.

The camp, located in the Palace Hotel of Mondorf-les-Bains, Luxembourg, was established immediately after the German surrender and served as a processing station and interrogation center for the most prominent surviving Nazi leaders before their trials in Nuremberg, between May and August 1945. This important historical document was filled by typewriter and besides Miklós Horthy's name, place of birth, next of kin, date, and place of capture, physical description, date of arrival, his occupation (Regent of Hungary), and army rank (Former Admiral), also bears the signature of the politician as a prisoner of war. .
