L Webster), gilt ruled turn ins, George Fisher & Gregynog Press Bindery gilt stamped to lower turn in, t.e.g., remainder uncut. Housed in a custom oak wood slip case with the remains of a torn Mrs Davis label. Provenance: the Davies sisters of Gregynog Hall and by descent via family branch based in Somerset Comments: foxing present on some pages, otherwise fine condition (De Zilverdistel p246-265. 18. Title page printed in red and black, with red initial caps and highlights throughout. Quarter bound in black cloth over grey paper-covered boards, decorated, with gilt lettering to spine. 8vo. Boards are worn, rubbed at ends, a little soiled, with cloth cracked on rear joint of backstrip. Some uneven lifting on front paste down (possible damp damage - not inert) with commensurate marks on front free paste down. Text block edges a little darkened, affect extreme edges of page faces, else internally neat. clean, bright and tight. A fine press selection of poetry of the Welsh aristocrat metaphysical poet, Henry Vaughan (1621-1695). Fair to good condition.

Prior owner's coloured pencil notations to front endpapers and label to lower extremity of spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean, with the odd spot, heavier to the first and last few pages. Very Good Indeed. book.
