With chapters on crows, daw, rooks, and small birds, including a commentary on their movements and recent colonists to the area. Written by William Henry Hudson, an Anglo-Argentinian author, naturalist, and ornithologist who was a critic of Darwinism and instead advocated for Lamarckian evolution. A basically Fine copy with a little rubbing along bottom edge, a little foxing to edges. In the rare original dust jacket with black printed spine, paper reinforcement to verso along top edge, faint pencil marks, worn head, but in excellent shape for its age. In much better condition than the five jacketed copies we've been able to find auction records for in the past 50 years.…
