Jahrhunderts werden sechs Friedhofsprojekte genauer vorgestellt: die Friedhöfe Ebikon (LU), Hinterriet/Küsnacht (ZH), Horw (LU), das Krematorium Nordheim (Stadt Zürich) sowie die Friedhöfe Schlieren (ZH) und Oberengstringen (ZH). Alle Beispiele zeugen von einer klaren räumlichen Strukturierung und einer Modernität, wie sie zu dieser Zeit nicht üblich war. Man wird beeindruckt durch eine für Schweizer Verhältnisse grosszügige Offenheit, durch eine von Rasenflächen geprägte sanfte Gestaltung und durch den Bezug zur umgebenden Landschaft. Das Zusammenspiel von harten Geometrien und sanftem Landschaftsbezug erzeugt spannungsvolle Situationen, die seinen Friedhöfen einen starken Charakter verleihen.Ein kurzer historischer Rückblick auf die christliche Friedhofsgestaltung im deutschsprachigen Raum vom Mittelalter bis Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts im Anhang zeigt, vor welchem Hintergrund Neukoms Schaffen zu sehen ist.
