In den WarenkorbSOFTCOVER. Zustand: Fine. 1st Edition. Foolscap quarto size (4to) in stiff card covers. 20pp text plus frontispiece, 4pp plates and 3 leaf folding plan and elevation at rear. The plates show 7 views of models for Holford's proposals for the regeneration of Piccadilly Circus which are largely archetypal late 50's modernist in style, but with some very futurist features including a 'Vertical Feature' (sic) multi-storey tower, fountain cum ice rink, and a hotel with roof design reminiscent of Robert Matthew's Commonwealth Insitute. Perhaps fortunately none of his building proposals went any further than the drawing board, but his plans for the partial pedestrianisation and street layout closely resemble the actual redevelopment carried out in the early 1990's .
