The artillery section treats the varied types of Field Artillery weapons as used throughout World War, 1914-1918, trench mortar artillery, grenades with detailed information as to loads, ranges, etc. The uniform section deals with the diverse uniforms as worn by the various Contingents of the German Armies from 1856 through the new Field Uniform adopted for use by all troops in 1915. Illustrated are insignia of grade, weapib proficiency, helmets and shakos, body armour, swords, bayonets and various items of accountrements. On these pages will be found a wealth of little-known and hard to find facts, all gathered from a multituse of authentic sources, and for the first time compiled into one book.
