H V Morton discusses the history of the area, with numerous tipped-in colour illustrations, but thereafter things get more interesting with a look at the charm of contemporary Londo…n, the London Season and the new hotel itself. These sections feature excellent colour illustrations, chiefly from Templeton and the Knock Studio, printed in three or four block colours often with a gilt overprint. Attractive advertisements in similar style also interspersed. Toning to page edges and some spotting to endpapers, but otherwise all in VG internal order. Printed card covers rather toned, with original onion-skin wraps still in situ. 4to. 92pp. A J Templeton; Victor Hicks; Stewart Knock Studio (illustrator).
