I have recently acquired a series of books from the Derrydale Press of Lyon, Mississippi about hunting and fishing and outdoor life. These books are extremely well-made, in quality b…indings, and have been very well cared for by their former owner. I am going to list them over the course of the next few days, together, to facilitate an interested buyer finding them among my many listings. Here is another to add to the list, namely: Four Centuries of American Sport 1490-1890, by Herbert Manchester (although from what I have seen, many of the so-called hunting scenarios presented can hardly be justified as sportsplease excuse the editorializing!). This large leather bound hard-cover book (9 ¼ x 12 ¼ inches, 245 pages) was indeed published by the Derrydale Press of Lyon, Mississippi, dated 1991 and is one of a limited-edition of 2500 copies. It is bound in maroon boards with embossed gilt framing and gilt titles and decorations on cover and spine. The endpapers are decorated with a marbled pattern and the page edges are full gilt. This book is very well illustrated, from original sources, according to the title page, with about 100 b&w illustrations. Condition: This book is in near fine condition. The only blemish to the leather covers is some tiny spots of wear to the finish of the corners, hardly noticeable. Inside, the book is unmarked and the pages and plates are bright and clean from cover to cover. The binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.

Had he done so, he would have 'troubled you with a question about my little boy's work. / I fancy that having risen in his place in the School he has missed somehow some of the Steps which he might have taken on his way to his present position.' He asks SK to 'point out to me in what you Consider him most deficient', so that he can 'get him to do a little work during the holidays to make him acquainted with what he has missed.'.
