Soft cover. Zustand: Good. Softcover. Coral (pinkish) coverstock, with black lettering. NASA seal on the front cover. SP-39. Below the printed number is a rubberstamp that says 'Copy No." and the number 12 is written in by hand. 71 pages. Good condition. No ownership names or notes. 12 sections on MR-2 and MA-5 flights. These were the flights where launch conditions were tested on chimpanzees, or, as NASA put it, "Primate suborbital and auto abort." and MA-5, which is "Primate test of Environmental Control System in Orbit." MA-5 contained Enos. MR-2 had Ham aboard. Both chimps survived their missions - Ham lived another 17 years at the Zoo. Enos died in 1962 from an illness unrelated to his participation in the space program. This is the original mission report, not a reprint. One of the first dozen copies. A scarce and fascinating NASA report from very early in the space program. Please email with questions or to request photos.
