Erstausgabe
1/4 Suede. Zustand: Near Fine. First Edition. Handome copy of this lavish 1902 collection of musings from the redoubtable American writer and publisher Elbert Hubbard (1856-1915), who, tragically, died along with his wife Alice Hubbard in the May 1915 sinking of the Lusitania. Bound in the publisher's 1/4 suede over light-gray boards, with gilt-titling along the front panel and spine. Light spotting at the rear panel, a touch of very light soiling to the suede, otherwise clean as could be and, internally, free of any writing or markings of any kind. Quarto, deckled fore and bottom-edges. Beautifully printed throughout; "the ornaments designed by Richard Kruger, pressowrk by Otto Franz and composition by Charles Rosen".
