This book is a careful study of the achievements of those craftsmen in the art of Zillij. Hardcover. Folio. Brown cloth with white lettering and black decorations, cloth and pictorial paper-over-boards slipcase. 524pp, (7pp). Extensive illustrations, pictorial endpapers. Near fine/very good. Mild edgewear to otherwise tight and nice slipcase. Moore himself provides the text in this handsome first edition of a heavily-pictorial survey of his life and work. This unique copy bears an unusual, unsigned autograph addition: Tipped to an inner flyleaf is a bizarre doodle by Moore himself on an 8½" X 10" stiff glossy heavy stock folder (of the type in which photographs used to come). Near the lower left of the folder's verso, Moore has doodled a small crude circle in black ballpoint, a large "+" filling it and a tiny circle in each quarter of it. NOT signed, but most unusual in any case.
