" From the library of Frances Evelyn, Countess of Warwick (1861 - 1938), a British socialite known for her lavish entertaining, mistress to the Prince of Wales (who later became Edward VII), and philanthropist and socialist (which gave her the nickname 'the Red Countess) with her bookplate on the front pastedown.
