Also there are antifeedant effects of neem, so that insects will not feed from neem-treatened plants or, when they feed, the food intake is significantly reduced.Neem ingredients also have an effekt on the methamorphosis of insects. So treatment with azadirachtin delayed moulting of Periplaneta americana for several days. Moulting, if it occurred was incomplete an resulted in the death of the insects subjected to the test.
