Breckinridge Patterson was a renowned photojournalist, cinematographer, and philanthropist who was primarily recognized for her wartime photojournalism and broadcasts. She went on to marry Jefferson Patterson, an American diplomat who served as United States Ambassador to Uruguay under Dwight D. Eisenhower and received the Calvert Prize for Conservation in 1984.
