The present volume is an attempt made by a 'Gentile' to report sympathetically on the character, lives, and pursuits of the East Side Jews. The Jewish quarter of 1902 comes to life in Jacob Epstein's drawings - over fifty - which reveal a rarely known facet of the great sculptor's art. Minor rubbing along edges of wrappers.
